Xbl stalker…

Well, I have an Xbl stalker. Again. Yes, some of you may remember the last one I had a while back, but that was solved simply by blocking the guy. This one isn’t so easy to get rid of. He has been sending me Friend Requests of so far 10 (!) accounts and keeps sending me messages, etc. There is only so much blocking communication I can do.

The thing is he claims we have played a game together and I was on his recent players list. Well, by comparing games I can tell that we don’t have any of the same games and the last online demo I played (SCDA) was with the same people and he was definitely NOT one of them. So where did he get my Gamertag from? From what I can gather he’s from Sweden which is quite far away, so I’m not worried, but it is getting very annoying.

I remember being asked a while back why I am suddenly not that interested in Gears of War any more. Well, my answer back then and now is that I prefer playing games with friends. GoW does not allow parties for ranked multiplayer. So a whole part of the game is pratically ‘inaccessible’ to me. Why should I bother with the game then?

Why is it that some guys on Xbl are so excited about ‘meeting’ a girl on Xbl that they turninto complete wankers? I mean, seriously, I know there aren’t many girls, but there is no need to either stalk us or abuse us.

Whenever I play Halo2 MatchMaking for say 1 hour I receive about 10-20 Friend Requests in that time. What makes those guys think I’d even accept those? And, if I decline them, why bother sending 10 more? It’s not like I suddenly think, “Wow, I must be this guys true love, let’s accept the Friend Request”. Not going to happen. Is it so hard to comprehend this? Really?

I know that some of you guys that read this play on Xbl. Can you explain this to me, please? Please, please do…

Thats weird. I thought blocking them would block all messages and requests too. If all else fails, threaten to send a complaint to MS and have his account terminated. That might kick him up the butt.

Well, it does block it for that one account, but he keeps creating new accounts and the messages come through.

I was thinking of complaining, as it really does annoy me now.

Seriously, ignore it MS can only ban the account as far as I know, and I don’t.

as for why guys go crazy for a girl it’s like when a boy takes up ballat, the girls go crazy for him and the lads bully him. Just enjoy the attention, flirt with em for a laugh, tell em to send a FR then don’t accept. I doubt you would do this, but it would b funny.

Really I think the reason is some guys on xbox live send you these things simply for the gratification they arnt playing a lonely unisex game.

I remember I was once in a game with a 17 year old american girl and an 8 year old kid with a typical annoying voice joined in. He asked her out, this girl embarresed ignored him and the boy was very percistant, till I booted him, then the girl thanked me and we had a respectable game.

Im no flirt to girls i’m too shy myself, i love gay flirting tho. I guess thats why im on your FL ;)

On 360 games tho, you can set it so only mates can hear you, or do PChat.

Problem is, he keeps creating more and more accounts and sends me Friends Requests.

You see I don’t mind one guy annoying me once a week, but this is pretty much a daily thing. And it really is annoying.

Best take IP banning that or wait till he gets bored.

Can you IP ban on 360′s? If so then that’s the solution as graddy said.

Otherwise.. I don’t know, complain to MS about abuse maybe? Or call them up?

I mean harrassment, not abuse, I think that’s what they call it.

IP banning doesn’t work and is a silly thing anyway. Say he lives in halls at college/uni. There’d be quite a few people affected.

I am very tempted to ring up MS, but then again how can I prove it? And I don’t remember most of the accounts.

    Oh..

Well, couldn’t you check the messages? I’m sure they could get into you account and find out through admin thingies.

I remember reporting a teamkiller in Halo 2 that I got really pissed at as he made us lose at the last second, I reported him for harrassment and threats hoping it would get him worse punishment :D

I deleted the messages and blocked all communications. I suppose I have to wait for him to send me another one again. :(

I don’t think MS keep all the records though. Maybe they do. Don’t know.

Well, either it keeps coming and you tell MS, or it stops and problem solved.
