Mainly Scandinavian, although it is celebrated everywhere in Germany.

I’m surprised it’s not more known here in the UK.

It’s very interesting that there are so many traditions that aren’t known or celebrated in other parts of the world. But then again you have your own traditions. :)

Maybe they do light candles too.I’ll ask our sister ;)

And I didn’t know it started today.. we’ve been doing the prayers for a week now.. :-p

And the sad thing is we have no candles because our old ones shrank and we couldn’t find a shop with new ones.. oh well…. imagination is fun, I guess.

In Germany there is only 4 candles. Infact I’ve never heard of 5 candles before…. It’s 4 candles every sunday prior to Christmas. ;)
