Anything new? Not really.

Things have been a bit quiet in my blog lately.

I’ve been busy helping my friend pass her English exams which is fairly difficult to do over msn.

Several forums I frequent seem to have an increase in posters (and sometimes even good topics), it must be all the people coming back after Christmas and some new ones.

I’ve been playing quite a few games lately, namely Oblivion, Rainbow Six Vegas (I’m now a staff sergeant!) and Viva Pinata.

My job search is keeping me busy.

But I suppose the main reason is that I want to change my blog. Change the categories, create subpages, go through my links, get images for my most used categories and so on. I’m not too sure what I’ll do exactly and which shape or form it will be. I just know that it will be a lot of work! And I’m open for any suggestions!

I’ve also aquiered my own domain the other day which made me think whether or not I want to selfhost my blog. I like the community here on wordpress.com, the support forums are full of helpful people and I wouldn’t even know where to start with my own blog. But having my own selfhosted blog means that I can implement anything. Change anything. Do I really want that though? I might just use the domain mapping feature that wordpress offers. I’ll let you know. ;)

That’s about it really. Nothing new to see!

Thanks for stopping by,

Cat

If you want to know about a hosting provider you could try blogasian.com – cheap and quality webhosting. A friend of mine uses it and doesn’t have any problems.

It’s actually on what you want to do. Self hosting gives you more control but that also means you have to part with the community. Don’t worry, We’ll be there with you! :)

When you self-host, you do not lose support.
There is the support section over at http://www.wordpress.org who are very helpful and can help with all sorts of things.
Plus you can ask self-hosters like myself for any help you need. I am more than willing to give you some advice on plugins and things.

If you have not got a host yet there are a couple of things to bear in mind. Get a host that uses LINUX platform and also you need one MySQL database, it is a requirement.
I use http://www.compila.com and they have been very good, they are not that expensive either. Also http://install4free.wordpress.com will install wordpress on your domain for free if you are unsure about doing it yourself. They are very quick.

One thing to remember though, when you go self-hosted you do NOT lose your blog at wordpress.com so if you decide you change your mind, your blog is still there. So really you have nothing to lose. G’won go for it :)

Since you don’t have anything to do [seemingly] here’s a TAG. Find the meme on my blog. [Yes I'm a bit late in tagging but...]

Read with interest your comments about size zero models last month.

Have you heard that London Fashion Week has decided to allow size-zero models to appear on its catwalk, despite their European alternatives imposing a ban.

I’ve just blogged on the matter. Let me know what you think :)

I was going to make some witty pun about a lost Cat but someone already did.

Perhaps if I put out some cat nip?
