360, cracking down and forums

So….

It’s been an interesting few days. Received Crackdown through the post on Monday. It’s a semi futuristic GTA type game with ability upgrades and generally quite fun. The main selling point is that it contains the Halo 3 beta which lasts three weeks after May, 16th. Yes, I am looking forward to the beta, but I’ve always wanted Crackdown as well, after all, I like sandbox games.

I managed to het a really good deal on it – brandnew for £16.99 which I was fairly impressed with. It’s from PlayTrade, the preowned and new trading place on play.com.

I’ve started listing some stuff on there as well, why not try and sell it for more profit than GAME or Gamestation give me?

Crackdown also had a bad effect on my 360. After about four hours of gameplay it started to crash every two minutes and was just impossible to play. Ended up getting a new 360 which I will explain in a different post, as it takes quite a while.

It all works fine now though and I owe a big thankyou to Andrew, my housemate.

Crackdown seems decent so far and I’ve actually made some Gamerscore progress for the first time in ages. And I’m really not bothered by it any more.

Forums, well, there have been changes at Matchbox360 and things have really changed this time. There is also ‘Convergence’ – another forum that has five members so far, but I think it will be a failure. It’s meant to be an alternative to all the bigger forums out there and only have members we know aren’t close minded or overly argumentative. I think this has failed….

However, if you feel like you want to be a part of it, leave a comment and I’ll email you the directions. Not giving up on the idea just yet!

That’s it for now, more to come later. :)

Convergence? I always liked the name for XL when Steve suggested it.

Yeah, I always liked the word and I think it works well in conjunction with forums/events. Unfortunaltely Convergence isn’t doing well, but I didn’t quite expect it this early.
