Yes, yes it is indeed my birthday. Not really the most exciting of days, but I thought I’d mention it anyway.
May the 15th is part of the third part of the zodiac sign Taurus. Whilst I do not believe in astrology I have found that the most commonly associated attributes of the sign do describe me fairly well, namely stubborness and being untidy, the latter being a major problem in my life. Just to clarify untidy does not mean unorganised, as I count myself as a fairly organised person, occasionally very dependant on lists and such.
However, all information on star signs is very unreliable [in my opinion anyway] and whilst the above are the most commonly mentioned, I’ve also read that people born under the sign of taurus are calm and exremely patient, two things that I am most certainly not.
I would like to say that I share my birthday with famous people or that something significant happened on the same day, but sadly that isn’t the case. Born on the same day was Devin Bronson. Yeah, I hadn’t heard of him either, but apparently he is a guitarist with Avril Lavigne.
Notable events in 1983 include the ‘discovery’ of the Hitler Diaries, the letter of Samantha Smith to Yuri Andropov and her visit to the Soviet Union, a decision to make wearing seatbelts mandatory in all UK cars and the release of Microsoft Word.
Films include Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Flashdance and U2 released their third album called ‘War’.
So, not too much happened, apart from the fact that I was obviously born. ;)
