Some statistics about the music I listen to.

Last.fm!

I’m sure I’ve mentioned a few times that I absolutely love stats and my curiosity was sparked when I came across this post on tumblr. I’ve added some bits and removed others, however.

Unless stated otherwise all the following exclude podcasts and audiobooks and I’ve excluded all songs that aren’t properly tagged and as such would have technically appeared before others in the alphabetical lists. This also doesn’t include anything I listen to on my iPod as I’ve still not found a way to scrobble that for Last.fm.

General stats:

Number of Songs: 12769
Number of Artists: 2,883 [Some mislabelled though, so probably only about 2500. This number also includes some podcasts/audiobooks]
Number of Albums: About 900 [There are also compilations and songs I've added in folders]
Number of Plays: 34627 [since January 2008]
Number of Last.fm loved tracks: 166 [Only started 'loving' tracks a few months ago though and don't always bother]

Nice song collection. I see that you’re also a fan of Linkin Park ;)

Oh yes, definitely! They’re brilliant and I’m really looking forward to their new album, even though I didn’t like ‘Minutes to Midnight’ all that much.

I love stats and music too, so I especially enjoyed this post. I think a post about changing listening habits would be very interesting. Have your tastes changed at all too?

    Good stuff, Cat!

They have and I am writing up a post on that meaning it’ll be posted whenever! ;)

But it should be sooner rather than later as I am curious myself and I’ll be digging through old diaries and the like.
