It’s that time of year again where I feel that it’s time for a new blog theme, after all the last change was in October!
WordPress.com has added many themes in the last years, but seeing that I’ve got the CSS upgrade I want to make the most of it.
I’ve spent a lot of time this morning searching for new CSS cut and paste themes as my CSS knowledge is still pretty much zero! For anyone else looking for CSS themes on wordpress.com I can only recommend to have a look at one of the following sites:
Yet none of the four in my shortlist convinced me, as I really love Dark Lake and I started to think of simply making it brighter. This is where the amazing @FallingBullets was more bored and less lazy than usual and he came up with some changes!
Thanks to his fantastic work I am proud to present the latest look of carocat.co.uk!

None of it is my work, I just complain about it enough to coax people into helping me! Please direct all praise towards them!

I know that the comments at the moment still look broken, I’ll be doing that later. Anything else you’ve noticed?

This is just a test:
I like this skin a lot, Cat. Perfect fot the warmer months – light and airy.
Fattening cake?? :)
Glad you like it! I personally love it and didn’t realise until last week
just how difficult it was to read something in the Dark Lake theme. Although
teachnically this is still Dark Lake just lighter!
Comments still need to be fixed, but they’ll do for now.
Cake? Where? I want some!
Yes, it’s wonderful.
I thought I might find cake here. I’ll pour the tea. :)
Oh yes, cake. That reminds me I’ve been meaning to post that cake recipe!
it looks i-cy! quite reminiscent of the twitter look to me for some reason.
The question is if you think that’s a good thing or not? ;)
well, twitter is beginning to grow on me… ;)
Now that is great to hear!
You should think about taking part in @satscenes. It’s a great community
thing on Twitter. :)
The video makes me miss Germany so much. I enjoyed myself when I was in Trier and Hamburg.
Also, I like the new look. I didn’t make too many changes to my blog at all.
Thanks for stopping by!
I tend to change my looks about every 6-12 months and I think the longest
I’ve stuck with one theme was 12 months.
And haha, that video was just to test something, but yeah, I kinda miss that
house!
Trier is great, I’ve been there several times, only once to Hamburg though.
