It can be said that I had a good 2009. Unlike 2008 I took more initiative, realised what I wanted in life and made some big decisions.
2010 so far isn’t working out all that well.
As I’m typing this I’m ill, again. This time it’s a cold that spread from my throat to my head and back to my throat in three days and I’m having to fight the urge to cough which I know will only be painful. Lemsip isn’t doing its job and the usual things that improve my colds, such as food with a lot of garlic or spicy food, haven’t done anything so far.
Last week I had intense backpain which is recurring every few months and I can deal with it normally. This time, however, the painkillers I took foolishly before eating food didn’t work and made me feel five times worse and nauseous something I later find out to be related to low blood sugar. Won’t be doing that one again.
The week before that I had a headache that lasted two days. I was also extremely stressed to the point it took me over a half a day to calm down once I realised what the main cause was and withdrew from everything listening to music. I was actually quite shocked at how much I let something affect me after years of dealing with much bigger issues better.
The week before that [last week of January] I decided it would be a great idea to spike my foot with a knitting needle. Hint: It’s not. In the same week I’ve also had a cold, thankfully only a minor one though.
Before that snowmaggedon occurred and the whole world practically stopped.
Of course I can’t forget about being ill all the way over Christmas with the possibly worst cold/flu I’ve had in years.
.
So yes, I’d very much like some good karma to come my way, please. Being ill all the time sucks and even though I’ve been taking it easy, I’d very much like to resume normal life!
