I like winter and whilst I wouldn’t go as far as saying it’s my favourite season there’s something about the cold weather, darkness, fallen leaves and miserable weather. Gives an excuse to wear big jumpers, put on the fireplace and stay indoors. Of course part of that is also the pre-Christmas run-up which I mostly enjoy despite the over commercialism. And last but not least, mulled wine only tastes good during the winter months.

There are many things I love about spring and summer, including sitting outside for long evenings chatting away drinking cider.

It’s 10.30pm on the second warm day of this year so far and I’m:

Sitting in the garden drinking strawberry cider and listening to traffic, ambulance sirens and people walking past. Surprisingly blissful! #

So it may not be more than 9 degrees outside according to BBC Weather and there may be a lot of commotion on the road, but it’s nice to have the option to escape the livingroom again and enjoy the outside.

And yes, this post may have been fuelled by lots of cider! Bring on the summer!

Not only is Spring here but they’ve gone back on the crazy cider tax hike. Good news all round :) Are you going to Reading beer fest? I might do ciders and perrys this year to celebrate.

You know, I’ve been wanting to go to the Reading beer festival for years and always forgot! Will definitely attempt it again this year as I’ve heard great things about it.
