I’ve been rubbish with knitting this year and this is only my third completed knitting project which I’m mainly putting down to lack of time. I started this around two months ago and finally finished it yesterday.
The above image shows the progression over time and, interestingly, also shows just how much lighting affects a picture! The best representation of the colour is in the top left corner.
I have always wanted to knit a moss stitch, but realised I preferred the double moss stitch early on and adjusted it.
The scarf was knitted on 2.75mm needles using two balls of ‘Extra double knit Special by Stylcraft’ in the Greengage shade. It is 100% acrylic and therefore easily washed and tumble dried. I loved the colours of the wool, even though I tend to prefer my wool just one colour.
- Cast on 50 stitches.
- Row 1 – 4: k1, p1 until the end.
- Row 5 – 8: p1, k1 until the end.
And that was it. It has a gorgeous effect, but it’s incredibly simple.
